ENRIGHT FARMS as it is known today is the result of twenty seven years of a progressive breeding program, emphasizing easy doing cattle, with good dispositions, from elite bloodlines.
In 1984 Enright Farms purchased a full blood Limousin bull: GOLDEN VALLEY ROMA from the local bull test station to use on their crossbred Simmental x Charolais cows...the resulting calves were impressive and as they say the rest is history, from a small mixed cow - calf herd to breeders of quality Limous in and Angus cattle. We use artificial insemination and embryo transplant to further advance our genetic base.
Since Barry and Jane had both been active in 4H beef clubs in their youth showing cattle seemed to just evolve as the purebred herd grew.
ENRIGHT FARMS is very much a family business with
all four children helping with daily chores as well as selecting and fitting show cattle.
Ryan, Sean, Robert and Lauren have been showing cattle for most of their lives... winning numerous awards over the years and making many friends
across Canada and the United States.
In 2007 we purchased a herd of black Angus and have been adding to it with acquisitions from some of the major breeders in North America.
We are located an hour from Ottawa, the nation’s capital, in the beautiful Ottawa Valley which has a rich Irish heritage. Please give us a call or drop in; we always enjoy a visit with a fellow cattleperson and to show our cattle to others.
